Join friends from across South Carolina on the first Monday evening of each month for a virtual Zoom Q&A with national Democratic leaders — including potential 2028 presidential candidates.
Why you should join the Palmetto Power Hour
The 2028 presidential election will be the most consequential for Democrats in almost 40 years.
The 2028 Democratic presidential primary will be a wide open race. There will be a vast array of Governors, Senators, Members of Congress, and other leaders running for the nomination. Unlike previous campaign cycles, there is no obvious “next in line” candidate for the Democrats, nor is there an incumbent Dem President running for re-election. As a result, the 2028 primary will define the future of the Democratic Party, and set its trajectory for the next generation — much the same way Bill Clinton did when we won the presidential nomination in 1992 and brought the Dems back from the political wilderness.
South Carolina voters will play a critical role in determining the 2028 Democratic presidential nominee.
As an early-voting primary state, South Carolina will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in deciding the 2028 presidential nominee of the Democratic Party. South Carolina has an enormous responsibility to filter through what will be a historically large array of candidates — and find the candidate who is strongest bet to win in 2028.
The Palmetto Power Hour will provide a fun, easy way to get to know the potential 2028 candidates.
On the evening of the first Monday of every month, voters across South Carolina will convene on Zoom for one hour — and each month we’ll have a different “special guest.” That special guest speaker might be a national Democratic leader, lawmaker, elected official, and/or potential 2028 presidential candidate.
From the comfort of our homes, we’ll hear from our guest speaker on what they think Democrats should do going forward — on policy, issues, messaging, communication, and more. On each Zoom, we’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and get an early look at the potential candidates who may be running in 2028.
If you’re a South Carolina Democratic primary voter, we want YOU join our next monthly Zoom on July 7th.
